A fun time of sampling and comparing hot cross buns was had be all who attended this inaugural event.
There were five categories that each brought the promise of sweet victory, here are the categories, and their winners for this year:
- The most delicious, number 6 - by The Fyfes
- The best cross - number 7, by Nic DC, and number 4 by Liz and Calib,
- The best texture - A tie between number 6, the Fyfes, and number 4, Liz (both pictured as above)
- The most considerate of dietary requirements - number 10 by Shirley
- The most creative - The Fyfe's (again, sooo popular)
Everyone had lots of fun testing buns, then placing their votes in paper bags placed around the house. A great time was had by everyone.
This was certainly an event to look forward to next year!
The "competition" was pre-ceeded by PALM SUNDAY POT LUCK LUNCH, which satisfied hungry tummies before hand. Maybe this was so hunger didn't cloud everyone's judgement by their tastebuds.
