70 presenters, 40 churches, hundreds of submissions… and counting!

A huge thanks and congratulations to all of you who made submissions last Sunday on the Zero Carbon legislation before Parliament.

At time of publication, the Anglican Diocesan office had received 350 submissions from nearly half the churches who participated in the Climate Mission on Sunday 16/6. If you haven't already, help us reach 500 submissions.

If you haven’t submitted, do it today!

  1. Watch this explanatory video from Kate and Elise, our advocacy team.
  2. Read the submission guidelines here, to make sure your voice counts.
  3. Submit online at parliament.nz/zerocarbon – scroll all the way to the bottom and click “make a submission” OR use this paper form and post it to:
Environment Select Committee (Zero Carbon Bill submissions)
Level 10, Bowen House
Parliament Buildings
Wellington
  • Kids are welcome to make submissions as well.  They can be written, drawings, poems or anything else, but require their name and region written on them.  You may like to use this template.

Quote of the Week

"Compassion is not bending toward the under-privileged from a privileged position. Compassion means going directly to those people and places where suffering is the most acute and building a home there."
- Henri Nouwen
